Maureen etal, here's a PSA for you.
The Domaine Pattes Loup Chablis Vent d'Ange '17 is by a small, largely undiscovered producer. If you can somehow find some of this bottling, grab it and forever be pleased. Really delicious and only ~$36. My order is being processed for delivery.

Maureen, the menu is unexceptional: lots of comfort food, regular combinations of flavor and texture. The wines are also pretty regular fare.originally posted by maureen:
What? Six posts and no one is yet giving Pete shit about the food, the menu, the wines? Not like this crowd.

Ok, I read that as 'grand cru', but seriously, there's premier cru vineyards on Pico? I thought most wines there were treated cooperatively. What would be the basis of 1er? Height up the mountain?

it would be because the fruit came from premier cru vineyards.

Wot a bloody mess, we're talkin' 'bout Thomas Pico in Chablis, not Pico isle in the Azores.
