EPL Season

Martinez makes sense, but I am not sure how suitable the current squad is, my guess is not very. King Luis would thrive though.

Podolski = Pedestrian.*

van Persie totally marginalized by van Marwijk and his good buddy Wesley. I'm hoping he retires from the national team. I'm glad they are out so I don't have to worry about him picking up an injury.

Theo with characteristically Theo play. From Henry like brilliance to clueless chicken. fb, you've been a Gooner longer than I, is he the most frustrating player ever?

The Ox looked solid, if a bit out of his depth.

Bendtner is still an idiot.

Fabregas' aggression looks slightly out of place in the Spanish side just as it does in Barcelona. You have the feeling that they are slowing him down when he wants to run and get the bit in his mouth. I don't know if that is because he grew up in English football or not, but he does look different from the rest of his compatriots. Maybe this portends a return? We can all dream...

Nasri is a cunt.

* Ballack's commment on his goal "even he couldn't miss it," ouch!

this is news to you ??

I am torn on today's game. I want Ukraine to win, but if Ox or Theo do something brilliant then England is allowed to win.

actually, one of the more amusing things about having holland, germany and denmark in the same group was getting to have a sweep on which arsenal striker would play the shittest on any given night.

fb.

does anyone share the opinion that England can win by being so bad that they would put Italy to sleep ? Seriously.

rip rvp. the netherlands were total shit in the euros, so i guess it means it's time to spit the dummy and move to citeh.

shrug. is being the next nasri* really something one would want to aspire to?

fb.

Fuck him. I say keep him and ride him all season until he breaks, then let him sign with someone next summer with a bum ankle.

City or Madrid ?

If my idea above doesn't work, then I'd rather see him in Madrid. I think that City will ultimately win that due to money. I think Madrid wins the Champions League next year, though.

Yes, Madrid wins UCL next year or the year after that. It seems inevitable. But what steps is Jose taking to take his defense to the next level?
