EPL Season

Can we consider some other variables?

The league sucks this year, on average.

We speak of no plan B, and we'd be correct most of the time. But very few know how to stay committed to plan A, for 90 minutes. United, Dortmund, Barca come to mind. Lately, Wigan.

You can buy two teams worth of players, but rotating them while managing personalities is a skill that seems to elude most. Not SAF.

Related to the above, City was completely unprepared for losing Yaya to African Cup.

Yes, that was quite clear and, given the depth of resources available to City, inexcusable.

I hear VLM is on his way to France, not to taste wine but to shop for a right full back.

Thank god Spurs are so mentally weak.

Are we all Bayern fans now?

You talking to me?

Should I be asking you if you've become a Dempsey fan ahead of next weekend as well?

Wow, that was weird.

Yeah.

We were terrible, and certainly didn't deserve 3 points, but maybe we did deserve a bit of luck.

Look at it another way -

no one really stepped up for UCL spots in the home stretch, so it was about who had stepped up in some huge games throughout the season. And we certainly did, this time around.

I fear to see the fallout in White Hart Lane should Chelski pull off the improbable.

an absurdly hilarious day. watching citeh versus qpr (teh pointilist's favorite club?) was like an xor -- either they would score and win, or else they would lose. it was fucking insanely obvious.

i'm very happy for kompany, a legend (and someone who has given his all long before the sheiks.)

oh, and the look on the bacon face was worth it too.

Yes, I'd say that at least half the pleasure coming from non-Mancunian quarters is derived from well-deserved Schadenfreude.

I am looking at England selection, and I am counting points in the group stage. I get 2.

England are proving to be comedy gold even before the club season has ended.

Sianora King Kenny.

Martinez?

The return of Rafa?

The best choice would be Moyes, but parochial jealousies make that impossible.
