EPL Season

City has an easy schedule next three weeks, while the other top teams are playing each other. But on the other hand, that may not give them momentum.

United escaped so many times so far. They won and tied games they should have lost. That's what they do. Don't write them off yet (unfortunately).

We are so going to fucking win tomorrow.

I'm ditching a meeting I really should be at. Might try to call in from the bar...

Tevez is ditching Man City?

Iced in here. I guess I'll just have to watch the game live today.

Watched the Fulham replay. Nasri's goals were stunners. Also watched Barca play Real Socieded. Right now Barca looks like a team that is going to score five goals a game.

Adebayor isn't even making the bench.

Wish Tevez would come to Arsenal. We could use a defend from the front kind of guy (although Chamahk does do a lot of work).

Nasri is on fire. Those goals were top class. Probably heading to Barca in the offseason...

Speaking of Barca, they are insane right now. Villa fits right in and the Xavi-Ineista-Messi troika is almost unplayable.

Can't wait for the game. I have an off campus "meeting"...

Is there anyone with a strong enough defense to stop Barca in the Champions League?

No.

I think the only way you beat Barca is with pace.

If we get them in the CL, I'd start Theo in place of Arshavin and put Nasri on the left.

They play a really high line and have to be made to pay.

Rosicky starting as well. I guess that means Nasri in the hole. Although it could very well be Rosicky, or maybe the three of them (Arshavin) will trade around.

RvP on the bench. Cesc too. I might have liked to see Theo and I suspect we will at some point. United is not fast.

Well, shit.

Well, the play did improve... And what was it with the fucking yellow cards, anyway?

Yeah, the second half was more interesting. At least ManU didn't win on the handball PK.

So, Mark, is the Tevez thing just another Rooney-like salary shakedown or something else?

I can't speak for the management (natch) but as a fan I can say "don't let the doorknob bugger you on the way out, Carlos!" He's clearly been unhappy at City so good riddance, despite his scoring. And did you see the signing today of that young Israeli forward? Perhaps he's envisioned as the long term solution. Dunno.

OK.

If Arsenal is going to continue trying to walk the ball into the net against top opposition, then they need to get Alex Song to understand that he can only participate in this offense as a late trailer, unless it's a set piece. Otherwise, he needs to be a van Bommel. Because he is no freaking Alonso.

I've been uncomfortable watching him try to pass the ball into the box most of the season, but today it was painful, due to circumstances.

I'm trying to find a bright spot from yesterday, but I really can't.

A number of individuals looked great, but I am not sure that makes you feel any better.

Wilshire, Sagna.
It would be unfair to criticize Chamakh, he made the most of what he was given, I felt like he was due all game long.
Walcott looked very good when he came on.
Goalie was fine.
