I knew you were going to say that.
vlm, when are you going to talk about the recent turn of events?

I'm not talking about yesterday either.
Denilson started.

A close game would no doubt have been more interesting. But it was fascinating to watch Messi, Xavi et al. destroy such a talented and strong team.

Sneijder gets in, over Ineista, if you leave emotion out of this. It's a simple MVP type calculation.
Perhaps not Robben, althogh it's close.
I think FIFA is totally fucked, and they've got beef with Jose.

EPL at midseason (approx.) - My RamblingsGunners - far from perfect, but doing better than many
United - weak early schedule hid their vulnerabilities; look for a late fade
Chelsea - as weak as United's schedule and worse play lately; slide or collapse?
City - toughest early schedule of the top 5; need to score more to move up
'Spurs - good recent play, including ECL play; could threaten for third

Liverpool - signs of possible righting of the ship, but any hope for ECL play lies with next season

I mostly agree. In the long run it is strength in depth that will tell this season.
Arsenal and City have that more than Chelsea or United. Spurs, maybe.
Chelsea could really spill. They have to spend in January, right?
Arsenal still need another central defender.
City really worry me. They have a lot of power, defensive strength, a top notch goal keeper, and a striker who can turn a match.
We only have players who can turn a match, but we have 3 or 4 of them. We'll see how that balance plays out.
I think 'Pools squad is just too thin.
The biggest disappointment for me has been Everton. At times during their late run last season, they looked unbeatable. It's hard to see what has gone so wrong. I thought they had one of the most versatile, deepest squads out there.
