seattle jeebus on 7/21?

I'm still in for sure. Probably have a +1 (my wife Yvette) if there is room from a few dropouts.

I'm fine w/ Eva as i've never been, but it's nearby and looks interesting.
I didn't realize it was in Tangletown (an area of Wallingford).

I have left a message at Golden Beetle for the manager to call me back.
The person I spoke to did start saying things like for more than 10 they would want to have a more limited 4-5 course menu, etc. So it sounds like they might be a bit more restrictive than the deal we would get at EVA.

So i'm ready to commit, and I think we should probably jump on EVA. $8/head seems pretty reasonable to me.

I'll be back w/ wine I guess. Seems like we have no theme. Old stuff or something? Is that a theme?

Old stuff is a good theme.

So long as it isn't required for the visitors...

Would someone be able to pick up the three of us in shoreline? Alternatively it won't be bad to split a taxi 3 ways.

Ok, free form then. I doubt I have anything you would truly consider old.
Some mid-late 90's n. rhones if anyone has interest.
Been buying those 90's Gaunoux wines from Envoyer, but they won't ship until fall.

So mix of middle age and newer from me i'm afraid. Maybe a ringer.

We probably do need a count though - assuming they wanted that from EVA or are they truly that loose?

Totally agree. I'll bring a bunch of stuff and open up what ever you folks have any interest in.

Actually their list does not look too bad either - 85 Huet Moelleux, and D'Epire Savennieres, plus a page of gamay and various pinot.

Looking forward to it.

I'm in.

I'd be happy to pick up you guys on my way into town, send me a PM with your contact info.

I was planning on staying in Seattle so you might need to split a cab ride on the way back to Shoreline.

Theme, hmmm... I thought it was Grenache and WA state wines?

I don't really care what we have wine wise. I say we just show up and have a good time.

Damn. I was looking forward to showing up halfway through dinner and having a shitty time.

Guess I'll have to come up with another plan.

Currently at honore waiting for the cannele to come out.

I'm charmed by the umbrella shop next door(unfortunately closed). Very parapluies de Cherbourg.

is the ambiance preferable or inferior to lovely Shoreline??
The pizza place there gets big marks, but I have never been.

Reports please.....and in the meantime I looked up EPA...(no that's EVA...I keep mixing that up with the Simpson's movie scene with gramps, sorry!).

Judging by the current posting time, you guys are still ensconced.

Well that was fun.
We missed you Joel, but looking forward to Labor Day.

We should move post coverage over to the main site so the millions of viewers will see it.
fatboy and his minions would be mad if we post about Tribut Chablis on the main page, I think that one is supposed to be on the QT

The Wind Gap was 2006 - Pax's first post Pax syrah.

The cork said Nom de Plume on it which was what he was using for a while before landing on Wind Gap

Did anyone call this as Cali before it was unbagged?

The Tribut was quite nice - I noticed it never quite made it's way back to our end of the table again...

Damn, jealous...
I guess 4 days bicycle camping in the san juans, sipping local cider at sunset watching a pod of orcas swim by wasn't such a bad consolation prize though...
Look forward to the next get together.
FWI the latest AOE cider article has inspired me to start scheming a grand cider tasting in the next couple months if ya'll are interested.
