RepriseAny chance for a repeat this autumn? Had a Meletti amaro this evening and was surpised by the sweetness.

I've been separated from the collection, and also trying to not repeat myself. But it is all still where it was built.

I believe the last person to work through the entire lineup was Josh Raynolds.

Although without the progenitor I am sure the restaurant could be persuaded, say, by a suggestion of a plan and an offer of money, to host another event. I'd be interested.

I'd also be interested in such a tasting (and as can be seen further up the thread was sorry I was not in Nyc for the 'original').

But need this necessarily be at Convivio? I guess they do have infrastructure advantages.

If there is genuine interest, and you folks can decide on a day or days that work, I'll get the bottles together and we can do a seminar/run thru at Alto.

It would probably be best to do it during the day, and over the course of a couple days, in terms of the entire lineup, if that is what is desired.

It would have be a date not inside of the Restaurant Week two weeks.

Eating before hand is a good idea.

I have a few insights on the topic I could share.

Amaro WeekGo to restaurants to drink. Make sure you've already eaten before arriving.

It's so... disordered.

Michelin multi-star lunches have a way of raising the price point involved.

I don't know if there are more folks here besides Jeff who are interested, but this sounds good to me.

I am, having done the tasting in more or less two halves but not having taken notes. Dates that work for me are thin on the ground, however.

As if Jeff wouldn't be audience enough to justify the effort. He has always supported C. dinners and such when the ghastly sherry spectre hasn't been raised.

I can probably make this happen as long as I have two weeks advance notice and it's not in the first week of September.
He means here, I think.

That's okay by me.

Of course it might take more than 2 weeks to source all the bottles. It took me about a year, but then I'm a slow 'un.
