Jeebus in SF Monday, 12/8

There's a Tuesday dinner too?! Is this like the secret .sasha board? How come I never get invited to the "cool" dinners?! Sheesh.

You know, if he takes his glasses off he becomes totally anonymous. He's the reverse Clark Kent of the wine boards!

And still, he's the one you prefer.

Fine. That's just fine.

Ha! Have you ever seen Coad without a Hawaiian shirt?! No? Because without one, he's invisible!

And don't get me started on the hair!

Who started this river of hate?

I blame Brad Kane. He of the foodie debacle. Since then, we've lost the thread of civil discourse.

Pandora Kane, not going back into the box. Hope flutters aimlessly around his lesbian haircut.

Is there any public transport that would get me near Sociale? The only thing I've figured out how to use in SF is the Bart. At the moment I'm thinking I'll take a taxi. I'm staying in the Embarcadero area, not far from Kokkari.

From the BART Embarcadero station, take the No. 1 California bus just outside the Hyatt Embarcadero Hotel (make sure that you don't get a bus that only goes to Fillmore, though) and get off at California and Spruce; walk 1 block north to Sacramento, turn right on Sacramento, and it's in the middle of the block on the south side, in a courtyard off the street. The entrance to the courtyard is just beyond the Magic Flute restaurant. If the No. 1 bus you get only goes as far as Presidio, get off on at the end of the line, walk up from California to Sacramento (or the end may actually be on Sacramento, I don't know how they're currently going) and walk west ~4 blocks. It's between Locust and Spruce on Sacramento. Bus requires $1.50 exact change, but if you are taking BART, before you leave the BART area, there are machines that will give you a coupon worth $.25 on your bus ride.

Thanks again Claude!
That time of evening, the buses run about every five minutes or so. Count on about 35 minutes for the bus ride, so try to catch the bus no later than 5:45.

Anyone know if they'll charge more corkage for a magnum? If so I might pick up a different wine. Right now it looks like I'll get a gruner veltliner.

If it's the 1990 Freie Weingartner from K & L, I bought on ein August and it was corked. There's your corkage right there.
