Why would Jose go there if he could do Chelsky?

I honestly don't have an opinion, just asking.

A trillion is more than 15 billion?

Punish United for not giving him the job he was so obviously trying to land.

Pellegrini seems like the done deal. What about Benitez for the job, though? It's not like he'd have to relocate far.

I think Benitez is a really top notch coach. Liverpool might actually amount to something if they hadn't screwed him.

Pelligrini is an excellent manager as well. Moyes-ish really, although not as tactically flexible.

is possible to agree with a, and question b.

something (a zillion things) went wrong on scurvyside. i think what we are seeing is that rafa has acquired some learninz from that experience that increasingly compliment a.

i have been impressed with how he has handled himself in a very difficult situation. so nice of teh romanz to allow so many of teh top europe coaches to shine in that way.

Well, for sure, Liverpool were a mess in many ways, but

Also, remember that Benitez is the last manager to win La Liga without coaching Madrid or Barca, won the Europa Cup, and almost won the Champions League.

Almost?

I am making plans to attend UCL qualification playoff game between Chelsea and Arsenal, since the only reasonable dates would be during Chelsea's tour of the US.

With Valencia. Referring to La Liga. Everyone knows Istanbul.

I will definitely meet you there. Why not play it in the US? Great marketing idea.

Regardless, I think it's time for a little trip to London, sometime in the next year. Maybe on the way to wine country.

Yes, without a doubt. As soon as schedules come out, let's pick a match. Preferably one with lots of goals...

Borussia Dortmund are set to beat Bayern Munich in the Champions League final on Saturday, according to oracles across a number of zoos in Germany.

The great Paul the octopus, based at the Oberhausen Sea Life Centre, died in 2010 after having attracted worldwide fame for his football predictions. Nonetheless, there have been numerous successors to "The Tentacled Oracle" in Germany, and all signs point to an upset at Wembley.

Walter the orangutan, based in Dortmund's zoo, backed his hometown club to claim a second European crown after local paper Ruhr Nachrichten had asked zookeeper Eddie Laudert to place two hessian sacks containing the two sides' shirts on Walter's high seat.

After initially moving towards the Bayern shirt, Walter favoured the Dortmund jersey, although his attempts to slip it on were unsuccessful.

While Walter may be biased, oracles in zoos in Leipzig and Aue also selected Jurgen Klopp's men.

In Leipzig, Saxony, an Asian tapir named Baru chose a black-and-yellow kohlrabi over a red-and-white option. The news of the tapir's support will come as no surprise to BVB midfielder Kevin Grosskreutz, who looks after one of the animals at the Dortmund zoo.

A neutral experiment conducted in Aue, Saxony, saw two Oriental small-clawed otters, named Ferret and Mormel, opt for snacks placed in the Dortmund corner of their compound over snacks in the Munich corner.

Graeme Fucking Souness.
Not going to get over this one anytime soon, is he?
I have newly found respect for Ballack, for showing reserve while working with this moron.

If the USA team can keep playing as well as they did tonight, that Klinsmann guy might finally amount to something.

I'd hate to lose him, but not if he isn't going to play anyway, and if Arsenal is the destination it will more than soften the blow.

"Questioned about Suárez playing for the club again, he said: "There's a few bridges to cross before that can happen. It's about the respect, that's the only thing we look for. This is one of the most iconic football clubs in the world, you can't disrespect it." Of the required apology he said: "That's something I will ensure [an apology] before anything happens in the future.""

hey, maybe Ramsey will continue playing so well that we can sell him in January and make some money

I'm surprised there isn't more excitement about the Ozil signing.

There is. A lot. I'm as giddy as a schoolgirl. I was really hoping for Ozil a couple of years ago, but then Real scooped us at the last minute (sort of like Chelsea with Mata).

Interesting to have Flamini* back. I didn't see the match Sunday for travel reasons, but I think he is exactly what we need, even if he wasn't at the top of my list. I would have liked another center back. Interesting that we didn't sign Sahko since we have looked at him for a while. I guess there are warning signs with him, maybe not M'Vila signs, but signs.

*Can anyone else think of a player who has played for 3 important sides that has never changed hands for money? Always on a Bosman. Interesting cat. His agent is David Dein's son.
