EPL Season

what an amazing experience, tasting 2010 burgs from barrel.
oh, and going to the CL game tomorrow!

a more interesting question is, how good are they WITH RvP ?

I am not clear on this.

I think Jan. 22nd will be a good indication. By then Wenger should be able to pick from a full squad that has Sagna, Vermaelen, and Wilshire available. That has yet to happen this year.

So Wenger isn't planning on signing a striker this January.

so Villa out for the season.
does this level the field somewhat? Nah.......

It just means the van Persie to Barca rumors start earlier.

What surprises me about the classico is why no one attacks Barca on their obvious weaknesses.

1. A glaring lack of pace.

2. Absolutely shit in the air (despite Cesc's headed goal).

Both Benzema and Ronaldo are good in the air, why not have Contrao on the left and di Maria on the right feeding crosses in for Benzema as a 9 and Ronaldo as a 10? Barca is also especially vulnerable down the flanks. I actually think this very strategy is behind SAFs summer signings.

man, this place is quiet.
Is it because fb is now following bundesliga exclusively ?

Or could it be that Arsenal's well documented problems in the EPL have sent the Monkey into a tailspin of depression? (Well, following the Bundesliga exclusively is a suitable manifestation of said depression; La Liga is for those in strenuous denial and Seria A represents a degree of moral retrogression that I seriously hope none here succumb to)

It's like confronting a crappy wine list - do you settle for the least offensive wine, a beer or tap water ?

Interesting question to ponder as I recover from the debacle at Old Trafford anon.

"Officials from Liverpool and Manchester United will hold peace talks over the next few weeks in a bid to calm relations between the two clubs ahead of their potentially acrimonious FA Cup tie."

I know Roy Keane will represent ManU, but whom will the other side send to Camp David?

well...
la liga is where you see football at its perfection, and this long before the messi/guardiola aera. probably since cruyff, but i am only follwing since the early 90ties. la liga is burgundy.
bundesliga might appear a bit simpler but nevertheless there's always an attractive game to find. for example favre's gladbach these days or borussia in a good match. good complexity. BL is rioja
serie a is well, sad. spoofed. but the quality is there. bordeaux?
i would qualify epl fruity and forward, the highlight remains the cup final. australia.

watching milan defeating arsenal was like drinking bland st.emilion and lehmann brothers. no fun. looking foreward to more burgundy and rioja, at least in the champions league.
