Only if you're done with your story.

You know I can't name names, or even regions. But take a look at our portfolio and perhaps the gaps tell a story (just one of many).

I am greatly relieved to see Francois Pinon in the clear.

Know what you like.
Buy from source.
Cellar with patience.

If you are itchy for something old, take your chances but please don't cry.

Naive means stupid in this case.

Nice thread. And last thing I thought I would write is: I really enjoyed reading fb!

Anyone know the "good friend of mine" he refers to as the mark for the Roumier and Rousseau?

He probably means Don, although he would have said so, as he does a couple of paragraphs further.

Tofurkey,
Thanks for that link, as it really throws the story into much clearer light. What a sad, sordid business it is, and how reminiscent of the whole Rodenstock kerfuffle. To badly paraphrase Tolstoy, all fraud looks alike but reality is always unique.

I wouldn't leave out certain other red Burgundy communes. OTOH, I think some elite Chablis producers now command prices, at least on the secondary market, in the fakeosphere.

Seriously. That weirded me out, too.

And what does Kane want with my '71 Huet demisec empties??

I didn't realize they made Beaulolais, Muscadet, and Chablis from Savigny and Pernand.

Ian, I think you need an extra comma.
